Here I am making a stein mug from the Fishtown Collection, available exclusively at Two Fish in Leland, Michigan. Anyone visiting Northern Michigan is bound to spend a day in Leland wandering the docks, shopping, or grabbing a bite at the historic fishing shanties. It is important to me to provide locally made pieces that visitors can take home as a meaningful part of their time here. The clay I'm working with is what I call Dark Stoneware.
