The weathered blues and fluid lines on this bowl place it as an art piece in a coastal home, or on the table at a shoreline dinner party.   I'd serve pasta, salad, crab legs, shrimp cocktail, or fill it with some ice and enjoy a little oyster bar fun.  The design is not painted on, rather sculpted free hand with clay, colored slips, cut, layered, reassembled, and compressed into a final slab.  The process is time consuming and requires attention to detail at every stage.  A true labor of love.   Washing by hand is recommended and so easy.
